The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) is dedicated to promoting and sustaining a culture of quality, academic excellence, continuous improvement, accountability, and institutional effectiveness across the University. As an integral component of RUET’s commitment to excellence in higher education, IQAC works to establish, strengthen, and continuously improve quality assurance mechanisms throughout the institution.
IQAC plays a pivotal role in facilitating a systematic and sustainable approach to quality assurance in teaching and learning, curriculum development, research and innovation, student support services, governance, institutional management, community engagement, and other academic and administrative activities. It works closely with faculties, departments, institutes, administrative offices, and other relevant units to ensure that institutional practices are aligned with established standards, policies, and strategic objectives.
A key responsibility of IQAC is to promote a continuous quality improvement (CQI) culture within the University. Rather than viewing quality assurance as a periodic or compliance-oriented exercise, IQAC encourages an ongoing process of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, feedback, and improvement. Through this approach, the University can identify strengths, address areas requiring improvement, introduce good practices, and enhance the overall effectiveness of its academic and institutional processes.
An important dimension of IQAC’s activities is to ensure meaningful engagement of internal and external stakeholders. Faculty members, students, alumni, employers, academic peers, professional organizations, industries, and other stakeholders provide valuable perspectives on the quality and relevance of RUET’s academic programs and institutional activities. IQAC therefore promotes appropriate mechanisms for collecting, analyzing, and incorporating stakeholder feedback into curriculum enhancement, teaching-learning practices, student development, research activities, and institutional planning.
At RUET, we recognize that quality is not a destination but a continuous journey.
